Walla Walla Pinot Grigio - $18
Our Walla Walla version of Pinot Grigio is less like the homeland and more American in style. It is a riper and fruitier version of the grape compared to the leaner Pinot Grigio's typical of Tentino-Alto-Adige in Italy. This wine was sourced from the Breezy Slope vineyard in the foothills of the Blue Mountains to the southeast of Walla Walla. We no longer produce this wine after the 2015 vintage.
Tasting Notes (2015): Opening with aromas of red delicious apples, lemon, and fresh cotton, this pale white wine has the benefits of extended aging on the lees with pastry crust on the nose. On the palate, bright acidity carries apple, lime, and grapefruit through the long finish. With just a touch of sugar for body, this wine is great for warm summer days. Drink now through 2020. 3.16 pH and 8.4 g/L of titratable acidity.
